Georgia Powerball Lottery of $1 million won by Alabama man

Sixty-Five year old, Robert Pitchford of Birmingham on June 24th matched the first five winning numbers in the Powerball drawing reported the Georgia lottery corporation.

In a press release, Mr. Pictford reported that he did not know he had won but on August 24th after checking the results and his ticket from his wallet he claimed his prize in Atlanta.

Pitchford went to the state line to check his ticket like he always did; he had bought his ticket for multiple draws.

Among his plans since winning are retirement, going on a cruise and buying a convertible. No more tool and die making work for Robert Pitchford!

For June 24th the Powerball draw numbers were: 32, 22, 10, 5, and 3 with Powerball number 7.

The winning Quick Pik ticket was sold in Ga., Decatur by QuikTrip.
