The Powerball lottery draw was conducted on Saturday, October 8th and the jackpot in the said draw was around $388.6 million that came with a cash option of $199.1 million.

However, the Powerball lottery jackpot is now going to climb because Saturday night’s draw did not yield a winner.

No jackpot winner

The numbers that were drawn in Saturday night’s Powerball lottery were 13, 43, 53, 60 and 68, while 05 was the Powerball number and 2X was the Power Play option.

However, the jackpot in the October 8th draw has gone unclaimed, which means that the prize will now roll over to the upcoming Powerball lottery draw.

The next draw for the Powerball lottery draw is scheduled for Monday, October 10th and this one would have a jackpot of $401 million, while its cash value is going to be around $205.4 million.

Since late July, the Powerball lottery draw has not seen a winner for its jackpot and the prize has continued to roll over.

The last jackpot to have been claimed was $206.9 million and a lucky player from Pennsylvania had landed this prize.

Smaller prizes

While the grand prize may not have been claimed in Saturday night’s Powerball lottery draw, there were other winners in the draw.

There was a single player who was able to become an instant millionaire. The lucky winner hailing from New York was able to hit the Match 5 and this landed them a prize of $1 million.

Had they decided to play the Power Play option with their ticket, then they would have seen their winnings double to $2 million.

Apart from the lone millionaire from the night, there were other smaller monetary prizes that were also won in the Powerball lottery draw.

A total of 16 players were lucky enough to hit the Match 4 as well as the Powerball number and this allowed them to win a prize of $50,000 each.

But, there were just two players who managed to hit the Match 4, the Powerball number and also bought the Power Play option with their ticket, which allowed them to double their winnings to $100,000 each.

As far as the remaining prizes on Saturday night are concerned, they were between $4 and $200. The Saturday night Powerball lottery draw saw a total of 794,175 players take home prizes from different levels.

Previous winner

This latest draw comes after a Powerball winner from Kentucky claimed their prize worth $50,000. The winning ticket had been for the draw on October 1st.

The winner had bought the ticket in Russell Springs at an Express Mart and Gary Kinnett was able to take home $35,500 after tax deductions.

He revealed that he would use the prize to assist his family. He stated that they would pay off their small bills and also take a vacation. He added that they would help their children and grandchildren.

Kinnett also talked about getting new glasses and a gazebo because he wanted to spend time with friends and family.
