Drumcondra Shop Owners ‘Delighted’ after Selling Winning Ticket

Euromillion

All lottery players from Dublin were alerted after it was disclosed that the 19th National Lottery millionaire had purchased their winning lottery ticket worth €3.6 million in the capital. It was bought at a local shop, which is located in the center of Drumcondra. Once the owners discovered that the winning ticket on Wednesday had been sold at their shop, they were just ‘delighted’ at the news. Thanks to the midweek draw, the lucky lotto player would now be able to walk away with a prize of €3,612,485.

The National Lottery bosses announced that the lucky ticket had been purchased on May 24th, 2022 via the Quick Pick option and it had been sold at the ExtramartStore. This is located in Drumcondra, Dublin 9 and on Home Farm Road. The store is owned by Sophie Javaid and Mian, her husband. The two have been running it for 11 years now and said that they were extremely pleased to have received this great news.

She said that they are part of a close-knit community, due to which it is great to think that one of the customers who bought a ticket from their store is now celebrating such a big win this week. She added that those who were coming in the store were shocked to discover that they had sold the winning ticket, but we’re also pleased to know that someone local is going to be enjoying the huge prize. She went on to say that the jackpot is a life-changing one, so they were hoping that the winner would realize they have won and claim their prize soon.

The Dublin winner has not yet come forward to claim the €3.6 million jackpot and has been advised to sign the ticket at the back to keep it safe.
