Sarasota County Player Wins $1,000,000
The Sarasota County participant had purchased his ticket for the March 21 draw for the US Powerball. The name of the Sarasota County player was Joseph O’Connor who participated in the game from North Port.
The winning numbers for the March 21 draw were 65-26-1-63-15 and the Powerball number for the particular draw was 16. The Power Play multiplier for the March 21 drawing was 2X.
Joseph revealed that he had not selected the numbers on the ticket manually. Instead, he let the lottery terminal select the numbers for him. Finally, his dream came true and he ended up winning huge prize money.
Joseph revealed it was a dream for him to win prize money. Most importantly, he always wanted to become a millionaire. Finally, the March 21 draw helped him fulfill that dream.
The ticket he bought matched all five primary numbers and missed out on the Powerball number. Otherwise, Joseph could have won the $157.1 million jackpot prize money from the same draw.
He ended up winning the tier-2 prize money for the US Powerball game, which was worth $1,000,000. If only Joseph had paid an extra dollar to add the Power Play option to his ticket, he could’ve won $2,000,000 from the draw instead.
According to the US Powerball lottery officials, Joseph had purchased his ticket from Publix. The particular store is located at 1291 South Sumter Boulevard, North Port. The store is also eligible for a $1,000 bonus commission for selling a $1,000,000 ticket to Joseph.
Somerset County Player Wins $100,000
The Somerset County player participated in the April 2 draw for the US Powerball. The winning numbers for the April 2 draw were 59-58-28-47-6 and the Powerball number for the draw was 18. Furthermore, the Power Play multiplier for the April 2 draw was 2X.
The Somerset County player matched four primary numbers and the Powerball number from the draw that won him prize money worth $100,000. Surprisingly, it was the Power Play option added to the ticket that doubled Somerset County players’ prizes from $50,000 to $100,000.
The player purchased his ticket from Conjelko’s Dairy Store. The particular store is located at 518 Graham Avenue, Windber. The store has received a $500 bonus commission for selling the ticket.
