Lottery Player from Cork Won €500,000 in EuroMillions Draw

A lucky lottery player from Cork won a whopping €500,000 in the EuroMillions draw conducted on Friday, July 1st. This was the first EuroMillions Plus draw to be held this month and it gave a lucky punter a life-changing win.

The lottery ticket was a Quick Pick one and the punter had bought it on Friday, the day of the draw. It was purchased at Lidl Churchfield in Cork, which is located on the Mount Argus Road. The winning numbers of the draw were 09, 15, 16, 38 and 46.

A spokesperson from the National Lottery said that a player of the EuroMillions lottery just had an excellent start to the month, as they had landed a big prize of €500,000. They requested all lottery players who had bought their tickets from Lidl Churchfield to check them, as the biggest winner of the night belonged to a player from Rebel County.

They also asked the winner to sign the back of the lottery ticket for security purposes and to get in touch with the prize claim team.

No jackpot winner

The jackpot of the EuroMillions draw was €196,414,962, but it did not have a winner. Therefore, the jackpot will now rollover and Tuesday’s draw will have an impressive prize of €215 million. The spokesperson for the National Lottery said that tickets for the draw can be bought till Tuesday evening, but 7:30 p.m. is the cut off time. The tickets can be bought via the National Lottery App, in-store, or on their website.
