The Mega Millions Lottery drawing was held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 and the estimated jackpot was $272 million, which had had a cash option of $143.9 million.
No jackpot winner
The winning numbers that were drawn in the Mega Millions Lottery on Tuesday night were 01, 21, 25, 27 and 40, while 11 was the Megaball and 2X was the Megaplier.
Unfortunately, none of the people who participated in the Mega Millions lottery drawing were able to match all the six numbers needed for winning the jackpot.
This means that the prize will now roll over to the next drawing of the Mega Millions Lottery, which is now scheduled to take place on Friday, March 24th, 2023.
The jackpot for the Mega Millions Lottery drawing on Friday night would now climb to $302 million and it would come with a cash value of $159.8 million.
No instant millionaires
Not only were there no grand prize winners in the Mega Millions Lottery draw on Tuesday night, there were also no instant millionaires.
This means that none of the players were able to hit the Match 5, which would have won them a prize of $1 million each, which could also have doubled to $2 million if the players would have bought the Megaplier.
Nonetheless, there were smaller prizes that players took home in the Tuesday night’s Mega Millions Lottery drawing.
There were a total of 22 players who were successful in hitting the Match 4 and the Megaball, which allowed them to win a prize of $10,000 each.
The good news is that three of these players had also bought the Megaplier option with their tickets, which allowed them to double their prize to $20,000 each.
As far as the rest of the prizes in the Mega Millions Lottery Tuesday night’s drawing are concerned, they were between $4 and $1,000.
The last time the jackpot was claimed in the Mega Millions Lottery was on January 31st, when the grand prize of $31 million had been scooped up by a player in Massachusetts.
January was a good month for the Mega Millions Lottery, as the jackpot was won four times, which is the most wins in a month recorded in the 21 year history of the game.
The Mega Millions Lottery drawing are held two times every week, on Tuesday and Friday, and players from 45 states, along with the US Virgin Islands and District of Columbia can participate.
