Pennsylvania Lottery Shares its Achievements for 2020-21 Fiscal Year

Just today, the officials from the Pennsylvania Lottery have made an announcement in regards to the profit generation of over $1.3 billion. According to the officials, over $1.3 billion figure has been generated by the Pennsylvania Lottery for the old people of the state. As per the officials, this amount has been generated only in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

The Pennsylvania Lottery is proud to announce that this is the tenth year in a row that it has managed to generate over a billion dollars for the seniors in the program.

The program currently being supported by the Pennsylvania Lottery for the seniors include prescription assistance, transportation fare reduction, free transportation, rent rebates, property tax rebates, and many more financial matters.

The Pennsylvania Lottery is glad to share that for the particular year, the total sales it managed to achieve were $5.3 billion. This figure was achieved through the traditional games, which include draw games and scratch-off tickets. Some of the major draw games include Mega Millions and Powerball.

When it comes to online sales, the Pennsylvania Lottery managed to set yet another record by achieving $887 million worth of sales for the same year. Given the fact that the online playing option was introduced by the Pennsylvania Lottery in 2018, the lottery game has generated enough sales in a matter of three years.

Drew Svitko, the Executive Director at the Pennsylvania Lottery shared his thoughts about the Pennsylvania Lottery’s performance and contribution to the community.

Svitko stated that he is proud of their organization for being able to support the senior programs without any delays or disruptions. The efforts and the hard work of the teams and representatives at the Pennsylvania Lottery have kept the flow of funds running without any gaps.

Svitko was also very proud for sharing some of the major achievements overcome by the Pennsylvania Lottery in the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.

He revealed that sales from the scratch-off games alone for the particular fiscal year were $3.7 billion, which is higher than the previous year’s $3.2 billion sales.

As for draw games, the total figure from the sales for the same year was over $1.3 billion, which was $1.06 billion in the previous year. The same year saw the record win of $516 million jackpot prize for the Mega Millions draw from May 21, 2021.

In total, more than $3.5 billion were won by players of the traditional lottery games including draw games and scratch-off games.

In total, more than $772.1 million were won by players playing the online lotteries powered by the Pennsylvania Lottery.
