The Powerball lottery drawing took place on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 and it had a jackpot of $149 million that had a cash value of $80.4 million.

Jackpot rolls over

The numbers that were drawn in the Powerball lottery on Saturday night were 33, 56, 64, 66 and 68, while 12 was the red Powerball number and the Power Play was 2X.

In order to win the jackpot in the Powerball lottery, players are required to match all the five numbers as well as the Powerball number.

Unfortunately, none of the ticket holders in Saturday night’s drawing were able to match the six numbers that would have helped them win the big prize.

This means that it will now roll over and be added to the jackpot of the next Powerball lottery draw, which will now take place on Monday, December 19th, 2022.

The jackpot for Monday night’s Powerball lottery drawing would be $158 million and the cash value of this prize will be $85 million.

No instant millionaires

Not only were there no winners for the grand prize in Saturday night’s Powerball lottery draw, there were also no instant millionaires.

This is due to the fact that none of the players were able to hit the Match 5 that would have helped them win a prize of $1 million, or even $2 million if they had also bought the Power Play option.

No jackpot wins

It has been a while since there has been a winner of the Powerball lottery jackpot. As a matter of fact, the last time the Powerball lottery grand prize had been won was back on November 19th this year.

A player from Kansas had managed to win the numbers needed for winning the $93 million jackpot in the Powerball lottery.

This year, there have been a total of seven people who have managed to win jackpots, which includes one individual from California who managed to take home the largest jackpot in the history of the game of $2.04 billion.

Players have the option of claiming their grand prize as a lump sum, which means they get to take home the cash value of the jackpot.

If not, they can choose the annuity option, which means they receive one payment immediately and the rest in 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

The Powerball lottery draw is held every week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and players from 45 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia and US Virgin Islands can play.
