Powerball Lottery Jackpot without a Winner on Wednesday

jackpot

The Powerball lottery draw was conducted on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 initially had a jackpot of $360 million, but it was later increased to $367.6 million.

No jackpot claim

The numbers that won were chosen in the Powerball lottery drawing this Wednesday were 04, 08, 46, 47 and 48, while 05 was the red Powerball number and 3X was the Power Play.

Unfortunately, none of the players who participated in Wednesday night’s Powerball lottery draw were able to match all the numbers required for winning the big jackpot.

Therefore, it means that the jackpot will now roll over to the next Powerball lottery drawing and its grand prize will increase.

The next drawing of the Powerball lottery will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 and its jackpot has now climbed to $404 million, which has a cash value of about $211.7 million.

Other winners

Not only did the Wednesday night Powerball lottery drawing have no jackpot winners, but it also turned out that there were no instant millionaires on the night either.

This means that no players in Wednesday night’s draw were able to hit the Match 5 that would have helped them win a prize of $1 million.

Had they also opted for the Power Play option with their ticket, their prize would have increased to $3 million.

Nonetheless, this did not mean that there were no prizes paid out in the Powerball lottery draw on Wednesday night.

There were two players who were able to hit the Match 4 and also the red Powerball number, which allowed them to win $50,000 each.

But, since they had also bought the Power Play option, their winnings increased to $150,000 each.

There were also 19 players who were able to hit the Match 4 and the red Powerball number, but did not get the Power Play, so they were able to win $50,000 each.

Previous win

The latest draw comes after there was a $2 million prize winner from Missouri in the Powerball lottery draw that was held on last Saturday.

The winning ticket had been bought in Laurie at a Fast Lane and as long as the winner is a Missouri resident, they would have to pay $580,000 in state and federal taxes on their win.

This means that the lucky ticketholder would receive a prize of about $1.42 million. It should be noted that there have been no winners for the Powerball lottery jackpot since 2022.

The last time the Powerball lottery jackpot was won was on November 19th, 2022 when the grand prize worth $92.2 million had been claimed by a player from Kansas, which had a cash value of $47.3 million.

Winners have the option of taking their grand prize as a lump sum in which case they receive the cash value, or they can go for the annuity option where they get one immediate payment and then 29 annual payments that rise 5% each year.
